What changed

In Statement A, Lapid explicitly objects to framing a draft evader's arrest in ethnic/religious terms ('חרדי'), insisting the correct framing is 'deserter' — not 'ultra-Orthodox.' He argues the arrest was about the individual's failure to report, not his religious identity. In Statement B, however, Lapid explicitly frames the draft evasion issue in collective religious/ethnic terms, referring to 'החרדים' (the ultra-Orthodox) as a group promoting evasion, using the exact kind of communal framing he criticized in Statement A. This is a framing reversal: the same underlying issue (draft evasion) is described in individual, non-sectarian terms in Statement A, but in collective, religion-based terms in Statement B.
